Legendary socal skatepunks Chaser have announced a new 7” ‘Look Alive’ to be released on 9/4/2020 with 100% of the profits going to Equal Justice Initiative, Educational First Steps, Crisis Aid International, and Surfrider Foundation. As COVID continues to rage across the world the band hopes they can help keep up the good fight.

“Our proceeds from the record will be donated to 4 carefully handpicked charitable organizations: Equal Justice Initiative, Educational First Steps, Crisis Aid International, and Surfrider Foundation. 2020 has been a year like no other. In the face of such unprecedented crises, one’s impact feels further minimized. However, if we have learned anything from these experiences, it is that we are all in this together and have a responsibility to do our part. At the minimum, manage what we can control.”

After their 2018 amazing album, ‘Sound The Sirens’, the band continues on 20 years later with main stage invitations and a desire to give back to the community. Be sure to stay tuned for that pre-order link!

Denver, Colorado: Spearheaded by Megan Kelley, of the band Married a Dead Man, and
David Pereira, of the band Hate Minor , Bands Against the Ban is a new coalition of
Denver-based artisans, music-lovers, and activists, teaming up to defend a woman’s right to affordable, accessible health care. Their first event – a benefit concert for Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado – will be held on January 4th, 2020, at the Oriental Theater.

BATB is thrilled and honored to partner up with Denver-local businesses – Evergroove
Studio , Planned Parenthood Votes Colorado , Spruce Barber and Clothier , the Oriental
Theater
, Mutiny Information Cafe , and more – to take a stand for reproductive rights, and
create an event that’s as fun as it is effective!

Headlined by Church Fire , with direct support from post-punk gothic band Married a Dead
Man, rock-duo newcomers Hate Minor, and burlesque-troupe Rebel Girl Productions , this
show promises to deliver some serious punch, while raising some serious funds for a cause that every Denverite can get behind. We are thrilled to do our part to elevate female artistry as we work towards a better future for every woman; with each featured band boasting a strong female presence, from conceptualization to execution.

Music and activism go hand in hand, and BATB is proud to honor Denver’s strong tradition of conscientious songwriting and performance with an event designed to raise awareness and help embattled non-profits like Planned Parenthood to accomplish their missions. As we press into election season, we believe BATB’s goals will resonate with the Denver Music Scene, and help to inspire political activism from musicians and music-fans alike as we fight for what we believe in.
