It seems like just yesterday. Ok well it was actually Cinco De Mayo weekend 2017. CPRA assisted The Toad Tavern with their first ever, “Cinco De Punko” fest. We set up some epic bands that even we had never heard before. One of them was pop punks, Stray The Course. You can read our review of their self titled Ep here, https://coloradopunkrockarmy.com/2018/10/09/stray-the-course-self-titled-ep/ This EP has been stuck on repeat since last November!
So when we got wind new material was in the works. I was pretty damn excited and reached out to the band to request early access. “JetLag” is another kick ass edition to their collection. The progressions, on guitar and bass combined with Toplyn’s vocals will have you singing along within minutes.
“When I get back to Denver, Bury me”
Stray The Course should be opening for any popular pop punk band coming through Colorado! The problem we will have to wait till December. Per the band, “We have 2 songs finished and several new songs in the works including a punked out cover of a top 40 female vocal pop song. Most likely another EP before an album.”
Santa will come drunk and on a pirate ship with your new Stray The Course disc! Check out some of their songs below and keep an eye on their bandcamp for pre-order info!
