If you ask this band what they sound like, they’d say, “A bunch of old Florida dudes bringing back and blending the old school sounds of punk and hardcore!” They know who they are, because that’s exactly what you’ll hear. This is not an experimental album by any means. It’s not a record you’ll remember for creating anything new. You will however remember this record.

It took me a bit to get into the album. I’d recommend good headphones where you can focus on the lyrics of the songs. Not that they’re the deepest of lyricists, but because it’s the punk as fuck lyrics that you need to hear. In a world of political correctness, they stay true to their old school pick sensibilities.

Track one, Last Man Standing, shows right away that they aren’t afraid to be political. With a recording of a veteran talking about how meaningless the medals that were earned, it will piss off your right wing flag worshipping type in the first track. Their message is that war provides no real winners. It’s high energy, it’s aggressive, it’s punk.

Track 2 continues with a song about taking it back. In a world where we settled on choosing a crooked politician wife of a former president or a real estate mogul turned reality star & asshole tweeter as our leader, this song definitely strikes a chord with a country that we need to take back.

The middle 2 songs are a bit of a change of pace perfectly placed in this 6 song ep. “You Don’t Know a Fucking Thing” stays on this topic with a wake up anthem with lyrics like, “you let your freedom ring, ‘cause you don’t know anything.” This song also has the most variety in their musical breakdowns.  The song “The Final Anthem” shows off the singer’s vocal range between his singing, screaming, & growling. I would have liked to hear that range & variety more throughout the record, as it definitely made this song stand out.

The final 2 tracks get back to circle pit aggressiveness & finish out hard, fast, & heavy. “We Won’t Back Down” is more in your face music about not letting yourself be mistreated, then we have 1:47 of kick ass album closing punk rock showing that they don’t really care what you think about them. “You don’t know anything about my crew, & we don’t give a fuck about you” are lyrics that come with the attitude they bring.

They know who they are, & they are comfortable with that. If you like the genre, you’ll enjoy this ep. if it’s not for you, I’m not sure this band will care. They’ll keep writing what they like & say what they want to say. And I think it’s worth hearing.
